New Electronic Option Available for New Mexico Medicaid Providers: GuidingCare®

November 15, 2018

Starting Dec. 3, 2018, Altruista Health GuidingCare, a new web-based health care management tool in the Availity® Provider Portal, will be available for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico (BCBSNM) providers rendering services for Blue Cross Community CentennialSM members.

This tool was developed specifically for use by health care providers, support services organizations and other key partners to assist in the patient’s care management. Not only will this tool help assigned physicians monitor their NM Medicaid members’ rendered services, but it will also help allow for quick access to the following patient information:

  • Care plans
  • Activities
  • Quality measures
  • Care transitions

GuidingCare is accessible to existing Availity administrators and assigned users. If you are not yet registered, you may visit availity.com and select “Register.” Once logged into Availity, select the “Medicaid Care Management Information and Reporting” link found under the Applications tab within the BCBSNM-branded Payer Spaces section. For more information on BCBSNM’s electronic solutions, refer to the Tools page on our Provider Website at bcbsnm.com/provider.

BCBSNM will be hosting one-hour training sessions to provide additional information on how to navigate the GuidingCare tool. To register for an upcoming webinar, visit the Training page of our Provider website, or select a session date and time below:
